surrogacy program

treatment using surrogate

In surrogacy, the eggs retrieved from either you or egg donor are fertilized in lab conditions (by IVF or ICSI) with sperms retrieved from either your partner or sperm donor and incubated for 2-5 days. When the fertilized embryos are at the proper stage, they are inseminated into the uterus of the surrogate. The surrogate mother is not genetically/biologically related to your child and thus, acts only as a carrier.

you may be advised a gestational/full surrogacy on the following basis if you:

  • have got your uterus removed (hysterectomy), due to cancer, severe hemorrhage or ruptured womb
  • were born without a uterus
  • have a malformed uterus or the lining of the womb is damaged
  • have a genetic disease that maybe passed on to your child
  • suffer from health problems (such as diabetes, heart or kidney disease) that may result in life threatening pregnancy
  • have had repeated miscarriages despite all possible treatments
  • have had multiple IVF failures due to failed implantation

need a surrogate

Surrogacy is an option to have your own biological child even if you are unable to carry a pregnancy to term. It is an agreement between you and a woman (known as the surrogate mother) to carry and deliver your baby. You can opt for a surrogate mother known to you (such as family members, close friends or relatives) or an anonymous person, who has no relationship with you.

At Moolchand, we make every effort to provide you with the best match for your surrogate. We ensure that every women with the best wellbeing and a good reproductive history are enrolled with us. We perform a complete medical evaluation of the surrogate mother to avoid any genetic or infectious diseases from being passed on to your baby.

Once you have chosen the surrogate, we help you draft a legal contract entailing all necessary arrangements (including financials, number of embryos to be inseminated, medical screening for STD and other genetic diseases or infections, termination/continuation of pregnancy if fetal abnormalities are detected, parentage of the baby, etc) with our legal practitioner. Once you and the surrogate mother agree to the arrangement and the contract is in place we commence the treatment.
